  • Important News Letter

Your child should have brought home an important newsletter outlining some of the changes to Central Elementary this year.  We would like to have the back page returned by this Friday, September 3, so that we can start scheduling our Fine Arts Option.

  • Community Garden

Just a reminder that the grade 4 classes, along with CAPP (Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers) planted 3 plots at the community garden.  We have lots of vegetables & weeds that need to be picked.  If you can volunteer some time to help do some weeding that would be appreciated.  As well, the food bank will accept the vegetables if they are cleaned and bagged as they do not have the resources to do this.

We would like to thank the volunteers that helped throughout the summer to keep the gardens weeded, thanks ladies.

About Us

Principal's Message

Welcome to Central Elementary School.  We are pleased that your child/children are attending our school.  On behalf of the staff, we pledge to do our best to meet your child’s educational, social and emotional needs while at school.

Our goal is to provide your child with the best educational program possible in a safe environment.  We invite you to visit and volunteer whenever you can, all we ask is that you report to the office and sign in.  Arrangements can be made with your child’s teacher, prior to arriving at school to help out in the classroom.  Family involvement in your child’s education is critical to your child and the continued success of our school.

We will make every effort to keep you informed of your child’s progress, but if you have any concerns or questions, do not hesitate to share them with us.  It is essential that student agendas (provided by the school) be checked daily to see if your child has incomplete assignments to do at home. The agenda is also a tool to be used for communicating between the home and the school.  The staff at Central will be happy to work with you. After all, your child is the reason we are here.

“Kids are Worth It” provides muffins, yogurt, and fruit for breakfast and sandwiches at lunch time for those students who require this service.

Please take some time to tour our website as you will find information about the programs and extras we offer at Central.

Again, welcome to our school.
